Please note that EuroCycler is not affiliated with the Tour de France nor are we an official Tour operator for trips to the Tour de France. EuroCycler is one of about 40 companies that are incorporated mainly in the UK and USA and offer spectator trips to Le Tour in France. EuroCycler is currently reviewing the legal situation since, together will all other 40 companies, we were accused of using the name Tour de France or Le Tour. These are words that were in the public domain for over 50 years and recently have been trademarked by ASO, the owner of Tour de France. All tour operators such as EuroCycler are now asked to appeal in court in Paris, France, pay each several hundred thousand Euros in fines and are not allowed to offer spectator trips to the Tour anymore. Currently, EuroCycler is holding off with bookings for such spectator trips in France until the legal situation is cleared. We will answer requests on an individual basis here.  This trip is not about the bicycle, it's about you. We have conducted a market survey among our past and waitlisted guests and have concluded that your optimum trip has a minimum number of hotel changes and transfer and a maximum time at one and the same location. You also enjoy a vacation adventure in a relaxing and energizing environment with plenty of lounge time for lake, pool and spa and naps in the hotel garden, all of course after a day of serious bicycle riding. So while you ride your bike, on previous and new courses that the peloton has passed, and watch the race, we focus on making your experience pure enjoyment.
 We have designed our 2008 France program with you in mind, searched for an authentic Mediaeval French historic hotel building with modern amenities and added spectacular riding in the Alps with super-mountains like Col de La Madeleine, Alpe d'Huez, Cormet de Roselend and recovery rides with many scenic stretches in between. The highlight of course is riding portions on one of the most difficult Alpine mountain stage of the 2008 Tour, up Col de la Croix de Fer, cheered on by waiting spectators and chased by the peleton. Then you watch and cheer the racers from a pristine vantage point on top of the climb.  For non-riding guests, we offer a program in that includes many sightseeing options in addition to extra opportunities to watch the professional cycling team and racers and EuroCycler's riding guests in action. And above all, our plan ensures all of our guests will have a prime experience in France, time to relax in a lounge chair, enjoy fantastic dinners and make many new friends. You will be guided by European former professional cyclist including team racers. French drama all the way to the finish line
The 2008 route offers a level of challenge and spectacle making it cycling's greatest race. Running over three weeks in July, the 95th edition of the Le Tour consists of 21 stages covering a total distance around 3,500 kilometers, that's 2,200 miles. The race features 15 flat stages, some with rolling hills, 4 mountain stages, 2 individual time-trials, and 2 rest days. The peleton will be comprised of 22 teams of 9 riders each, all chasing the yellow jersey or at least vying to make it to the finish in Paris. For details see the officical website.
