Women's Cycling and Tri-Clinic

If we have enough requests again, we will offer a Women's Triathlon Clinic is from April 19 - 26, led as usual by Andrea Brede. Please contact us for date confirmation.

Riding, swimming and running during this weeks is co-ed, evening clinic sessions are by women for women only. So if you travel with your partner, he will get his level workout while you get yours, plus you have access to the women's only discussion.

Now, more than ever, "Girl Power" is being measured in watts and personal records. EuroCycler is adding fuel to the charge with a special clinic created for female cyclists and multi-sport athletes at our unique cycling resort near Gerona, Spain.

Whether your goal is to ride to stay fit, complete your first sprint-distance triathlon or conquer the national race circuit, our Women's Cycling Clinic experience offers the opportunity to meet and learn from elite-level female riders and coaches who know what it takes.

Uniquely, participants in our Women's Cycling Clinic take part in special discussion forums and skills clinics created specifically for female cyclists. Topics will include finding a proper bike fit, seat comfort issues and cycling-work-family life balance. In other words, stuff that goes way beyond what you want to discuss with your average bike store mechanic.

On training rides, you'll ride between 40 and 110 miles in a ride under the guidance of our leaders, building distance and terrain challenges throughout the week to improve endurance and conditioning. For complete route profiles, click here.

Women's Clinic participants will also have the option to take part in a day of co-ed technical training focusing on skills including climbing and descending techniques, time trialing, pace line riding, drafting, interval training and more.

In the late afternoons, you can choose from a number of sport therapy treatments in our spa, sit in the whirl pool or relax in the saline pool, join some of the other multi-sport athletes for a run or an open-water swim, or savor a cappuccino on the sun terrace. You'll meet and mix with other interesting, athletes from all over Europe and North America.

Put it together and it's an unforgettable cycling experience created for women by women, set amid the stunning beauty of the Spanish Mediterranean. Best of all, by the end of the trip, you'll feel great, look great and know a whole lot more about bicycling.

Our week-long Women's Clinic runs from Saturday to Saturday, with a programmed rest day on Tuesday where a range of alternate activities are possible. To view the complete daily schedule (excluding the non-riding Tuesday), click here.

Women-specific cycling discussions that cut right to the chase.

One of the central components of our Women's Cycling Clinic is our series of evening discussions and presentations on the cycling and training issues of greatest interest to women.

The following are just a few of the topics and questions to be discussed:

  • Bicycle Maintenance 101
  • Does my bike fit? Common problems and real solutions for fitting women on stock frames.
  • How and where can I get fitted for the best bike for me?
  • How do I deal with saddle discomfort issues?
  • How do I balance cycling with a family and social life?
  • How do I prepare for specific events?
  • How do I deal with feminine hygiene issues while riding, training or racing?
  • What training tools are appropriate for me?
  • How can I find other women to ride with?
  • How do I find a coach who understands women's athletic needs?
  • Is racing for me and how do I get started?
  • What hurdles do women cyclists face and how do I get over them?
