Resort Hotel Giverola
Situated on the sun-kissed beaches of the scenic Costa Brava, the Resort Hotel Giverola is located atop the cliffs that overlook the charming seaside village of Tossa de Mar, about 55 miles north of Barcelona. Stretching out from the sparkling blue coastal waters of the Mediterranean, the surrounding countryside offers a bounty of rolling hills and winding backcountry roads that reveal a stunning new vista around every bend.

Inside the resort's main building, you'll find a guest office with internet access, several restaurants, a coin operated laundromat, a convenience store and a sport apparel shop. And of course a professional bike mechanic shop with a full inventory of spare parts for road and mountain bikes including a garage for 400 bicycles. There's also a garden bar and a typical European disco where many guests gather to get down and laugh it up well into the night.

The resort is specifically designed for the sports-minded; so there is an abundance of facilities and sessions to help you get your endorphin-fix but you won't find a radio or TV in your apartment. Each apartment is equipped with a telephone which also allows dial-up internet from your room. WiFi is accessible from the lobby and from many rooms.

When it's time to unwind, find your way to the indoor Jacuzzi or peaceful relaxation room. Or better yet, schedule a soothing massage. And if you need more workouts, there is a full size gym with free weights and machines, a gymnastics room with spinning bikes and steps, and a 25 meter outdoor lap pool.



Apartment-style Living
Tucked harmoniously into the lush surroundings, each apartment is spacious and situated to offer an exquisite view of the coast. We assign one of two types of apartments, depending on your group size.

Type A Apartments are comfortably furnished, 390-square foot split-level studios with a balcony. Each has a double bed (which can be separated) with Swiss down comforters, plus a lounge and seating corner that can be converted into two additional normal-size beds. There's also a furnished kitchenette and private bathroom with shower. This apartment is ideal for couples but comfortably sleeps up to four.

Type B Apartments are 460-square feet, with one separate bedroom (double bed that can be separated) and a balcony. The lounge/seating area can be converted into two additional normal-size beds. Type B features an eat-in kitchen, private bathroom with shower, and offers more privacy for two couples in the same apartment. The bathroom is more spacious than Type A, so these are also great apartments for roommates - if you can agree on who gets the bedroom!

In fact, you'll soon discover that one of the best aspects of a EuroCycler trip is that you'll mix with bicyclists from all over Europe and America. You may even make some lifelong friends. We'll also be happy to match you with a roommate. When you fill out your order form, simply specify that you wish to share and, whenever possible, we'll match you with one or more flatmates of the same gender.
