Hello ActionWheels Riders!

The cycling trip to Spain in April 2007 was such a success that Patty from ActionWheels and Richard from EuroCycler have prepared another a special group deal for the ActionWheels team - Spain 2008 is scheduled from April 12-19.

Some of you who traveled with us last spring remember....before embarking on the journey in April, each ActionWheeler had some measure of anxiety as you were not sure about the preparation to ride in the mountains of Spain. Quickly you realized that this is a training camp and it's about getting your base miles to start the season and not about who can climb the mountain fastest. Besides, Patty's personalized winter coaching programs helped several riders through the winter months in New Jersey and prepare for Spain.

Here talks Patty: After day one in Spain, we were relaxed and comfortable with the idea that we would survive the week and be so much stronger for it. Already at the first dinner there was talk about returning in '08! Each of the ride days had it's own challenges but besides the EuroCycler guides our team of AW-riders were there to support each other and share in the group's success. Each night, EuroCycler gave a presentation after dinner to school us on different cycling related issues and techniques. (By the way, the food was amazing...).

Now that we have been to Girona for the EuroCycler Training Camp, I can assure you that they have something for most every cyclist. The distances and paces are established based on your fitness level and you can choose to take days off and sightsee or relax on their private Mediterranean beach. In addition, there are masseuses on staff at the resort that can bring you back to life after a long day in the saddle. You can choose to bring your own bike (as luggage on the plane) or rent one of their high end carbon Scotts. You'll need to sign up early to get a bike rental, though, because supply is limited. Sign-ups for the ActionWheels Girona Cycling Camp with EuroCycler will close out before the end of the year, so check your schedule, ask for the time off and get signed up right away. You won't want to miss the experience of a lifetime.
